Surprise friends lunch

Monday.....

This morning when Will got up I asked him what time it was.  "7:00", he said.  Then he said "PULLUPS!  Pullups pullups pullups pullups!"  I guess that means our night time potty training with Charlotte will be taking a break for awhile.  I have to admit that I too am sick of all the laundry and getting up at night to screams of "MOOOOOOOOOOOOMMY!  MY BED IS WET!"  It's just SO nice not to have to buy diapers or Pull-ups or remember to bring them with us when we travel.  One day.

When I came downstairs I saw some chopped peaches on the counter leftover from whatever Will had made, and I instantly got a picture of those peaches topping some banana oatmeal.

Yep, much like that
I must've been tired this morning because when I went to make my coffee I dumped the ground beans into my mug instead of into the french press.

My coffee seems a little...crunchy this morning
I spent the morning at the house, and had this snack at some point.

I got pretty hungry in the 11 o'clock hour, but knew I was meeting my mom and sister at Common Market for lunch so I made some tea with gelatin and that luckily held me over.

Lunch was some food from the hot bar and some soup plus half a ginger kombucha.

At lunch, we ran into Will and his dad, plus my friend Ken AND my friend Tricia who I haven't seen in a long time.  We got a chance to lunch together for awhile and catch up, which was very nice.  She was very tolerant of both me giving my sales pitch to some ladies who commented on my nails AND of my insane daughter tearing around and shoving ponies in her face.

One of the things I really didn't like about the Clean Eating menu plan last week was that it kept making me eat plain greek yogurt.  I can handle that, but not over and over.  I need to have at least an occasional snack that I actually enjoy and look forward to, so I "treated" myself to 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1 Tbsp juice-sweetened blueberry jelly as my afternoon snack today.

I also had some seaweed.

Will requested a stir-fry type dinner this week, so that's what I made tonight.  I used pork because I already had plans for most other types of meat this week and a stir-fry can use basically any kind of meat and still be delicious.  This one was.

I also had a tasty porter that Will brought back from Cigar City brewery in Florida.

In honor of the very exciting fact that SUNSPIRE HAS STARTED MAKING MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS AGAIN (!!!!!), I had my favorite dessert and it tasted right for the first time in a LONG time :-)

I've missed you so
I was feeling snacky later, and Will delved into the leftover chicken thighs so I had one too.

Does this look disgusting or what?  It couldn't have tasted better though.
I think I'll avoid having a beer tonight (even though we have a fridge chock-full of amazing things I want to try) because not only does it add a bunch of extra calories (duh) but it also makes me much snacky-er (another duh).  I'd content myself with just taking a sip or two of whatever beer Will is sipping on, but he loves super-bitter hop-bombs and I'm just not there yet so we can't really share, alas.

Ha Ha, I had to laugh when I read about your morning coffee. Oh those are the type of days when you just need to head to Starbucks for it to be made for you :)

Yes, you're right Jessie! I'm trying to finish up some old coffee I have hanging around but I will definitely be going to a coffee shop to get some ready-made later today :-)
